Pastor Agyemang Elvis, who is affiliated with the Facebook program known as Alpha Hour, responded to Metro Tv’s Paul Adom-criticism Otchere’s of the program. The alpha hour is a prayer event held every midnight on Facebook for those who wish to pray.
Paul Adom- Otchere asked on the 16th June 2022 edition of Good Evening Ghana, “Why is Alpha hour popular among young and upwardly mobile Christians who are already members of either main line or charismatic churches? Has the new church lost the ability to solve people’s spiritual problems? Is witchcraft still a problem among young people? Do normal people believe in spiritual interventions that border on superstition?”
Pastor Agyemang Elvis responded to Paul Adom-Otchere on the Friday, June 17, 12:00 a.m. program by stating:
“If the prayer is not problematic, no one will discuss it. At 9 p.m., we do not sleep and listen to Christmas Tree, but at 12 a.m., we will PRAY!
We don’t even pray about witchcraft, but because certain behaviors resemble witchcraft, we will PRAY! “.
