2024 American University Emerging Global Leader Undergraduate Scholarship

The AU Emerging Global Leader (EGL) Scholarship, which is provided by the American University (AU), is a very famous scholarship which is meant to support international students with outstanding academic achievements who are studying in the United States. It asserts AU’s resolve to identify, encourage, develop and create opportunities that will prepare young women globally towards leadership positions within and beyond the country.

Financial Coverage

The tuition cost, housing, dining and any other billable things will be fully covered by the scholarship at AU. This financial support is the main reason why students do not have financial problems and can concentrate on their studies in the United States. Besides educational funding, the award money does not cover non-billable costs like health insurance, textbooks or aircraft travel, which are $4000 a year that they must manage on their own.

Core Values and Commitments

The AU EGL scholarship program has aspects which go beyond just the financial support such as the values AU stands for including the academic excellence, leadership development and global engagement. The recipients are supposed to be the ones who fully understand the meaning of these values and make an attempt to make the world a better place. On the other hand, fellows commit to return to their native countries after the completion of their studies to invest back in the dilapidated and destitute communities which makes the scholarship more focused on the importance of education towards progress of the society.

Benefits and Duration

An international student with high academic credentials is offered a full-coverage scholarship throughout his first four years as an undergraduate student, provided the satisfactory academic performance is observed.
