Gbenga Raheem, the husband of the murdered lawyer, Bolanle Raheem, who was shot dead by a police officer on Christmas Day, has detailed what happened during the tragic incident.
On Christmas Day, the guy and his wife, along with other family members, went to a nearby church for worship.
Because it was Christmas, they decided to take the entire family out to dinner after their church service.
They had performed a U-turn beneath the Ajah bridge on their way back home and saw several police officers stopping and examining cars.
Gbenga Raheem stated that at the time, he heard a loud crack on his wife’s side window, only to discover that her wife’s chest was flowing with blood from a gunshot wound.
At this point, he raced out, and his sister-in-law, who was also in the car, ran out ahead of him and grabbed the police officer, but he cocked his revolver at her.
He claimed that he had to rush back to his car to assist his injured wife, who he stated was gasping for air at the time.
The heartbroken man revealed that his sister-in-law was able to take the police officer back to their car and force him to enter, after which they proceeded to the hospital.
