Foden named Hublot Young Player of the Season.

Phil Foden has been named the Hublot Young Player of the Season for the 2021/22 season.
Foden wins the award after receiving the most combined votes from Premier League fans and league officials.
At the beginning of the season, he topped a shortlist of eight players aged 23 or younger, besting Trent Alexander-Arnold, Conor Gallagher, Tyrick Mitchell, Mason Mount, Aaron Ramsdale, Declan Rice, and Bukayo Saka.

Foden retains the trophy he won last year and is the first player to win it in consecutive seasons.
In 27 games, the 21-year-old has contributed nine goals and five assists to help Manchester City close in on the Premier League crown.
In fact, his average of a goal or assist per 146 minutes this season is the greatest of any player under the age of 21 who has played at least 500 minutes.

Foden told the club’s official website, “I am extremely delighted to have won this honor for a second consecutive year.”
“I’m extremely pleased with my performances this season, and it’s been a pleasure to contribute to this squad in what I hope will be another successful year for us all.
It is an honor to be nominated among so many great players, as they have all had outstanding seasons for their respective clubs.
Foden will now attempt to complete the season on a good note against Aston Villa on Sunday, when Man City knows that a victory will ensure them a sixth Premier League trophy.
