Honest Taxi Driver Finally Got Employment At The COP’S Headquarters.

The Church of Pentecost General Headquarters in Accra, Ghana, has hired 36-year-old Kwesi Ackon, the taxi driver who was lauded around the world for returning a large sum of money he found in his taxi to its owner. Ackon was praised for returning the money to its owner after discovering it in his taxi.

On his first day of work, June 16, 2022, Ackon, who could not hide his excitement over the job offer, expressed his gratitude to God and the church’s leadership, especially Chairman Apostle Eric Nyamekye and General Secretary Apostle Alexander Nana Yaw Kumi-Larbi, for the opportunity to work at the church’s headquarters.

Working in the church’s headquarters, according to him, would strengthen his Christian faith and ideals. A letter of employment dated 15 June 2022 and signed by Elder Samuel Mantey Addo, Human Resource Manager, stated: “The Church of Pentecost Headquarters hereby offers you employment as Driver Grade.”
Kwesi Ackon also thanked the numerous Ghanaians who gave money and goods to him when the news of the incident spread.

A few weeks ago, Kwesi Ackon’s story went viral after he returned GHS 8,400 he found in the trunk of his car to its owner. On Easter Saturday, he drove the old fishmonger from the Mallam Atta Market in Accra to her home in Teshie.

The elderly woman who had little hope of recovering the money wept loudly and asked God’s blessings upon Kwesi Ackon when he tracked her down at her home on Easter Sunday to return the money.

This viral video of Kwesi Ackon’s act attracted the notice of the Vice President of the Republic, His Excellency Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who subsequently donated GHS 20,000.00 to him. Rev. Lawrence Tetteh, who donated a brand-new Daewoo Matrix to him, stands out among the organizations and individuals who were moved by his act of kindness and have subsequently donated several amounts to him.

His employment offer from The Church of Pentecost Headquarters is the cherry on top. Kwesi Ackon is a member of The Church of Pentecost and attends the Onyeametease Assembly in the Kokomlemle District of the church’s La Area.
