I’m Embarrassed For What I Said: NPP’s Nana Akomea.

Recently, the Managing Director of STC did the unexpected when he finally came out to spew the harsh truth about the current administration of the Akufo-Addo government and other ongoing concerns in the country.

In a recent interview on the “Good Morning Ghana” show with the host, Dr. Randy Abbey questioned Nana Akomea’s silence on the recent happenings in the country under the Akufo Addo administration, considering how he boldly campaigned for the removal of former President John Mahama for poor economic management, among other reasons.
“Nana Akomea has expressed what he is saying today; his party said the same things in 2016.” You were at the vanguard of disseminating a significant portion of the NPP’s economic prognosis for Ghana. Dr. Randy Abbey remarked clearly that your party’s campaign promises gave the impression that those in charge of the economy lacked intelligence.

In reaction, Nana Akomea surprisingly stated that he was ashamed of what he had said about the NDC government, given that the majority of people blame him for the performance of the NPP administration.
“You must inquire with those in command since there are sectors and individuals in charge of the things we’ve promised to perform. We criticized the previous administration’s handling of the economy, agriculture, and other issues. We promised Ghanaians in our campaign that we would pay for their relaxation, but we cannot. These actions humiliate me. I feel ashamed for speaking such things against the former administration. “I’m humiliated because this is not propaganda,” Nana Akomea said passionately.
