Medical Doctor robbed while conducting surgery

During surgery, the Medical Doctor of the Dixcove Government Hospital in the Ahanta West Municipality of the Western Region was robbed.

Thursday in the early morning hours, when Dr. Nana Brobbey left his home to do emergency surgery, he was apparently robbed.

Timothy Ofori, director of health for Ahanta West, told Connect FM that he left his home to attend to a patient, only to return to a room that had been ransacked.

“Because he resides in the hospital, he received a call for an emergency around 1:00 a.m. He instantly rushed to save the patient’s life.

“Upon returning home after a successful operation, he discovered that his room had been looted by thieves. “He said that they stole his laptop, mobile phones, and other personal property,” he said. Mr. Ofori claims that this is not the first time that Dr. Brobbey has been stolen.

“This is the doctor’s third time being robbed. This morning, when I encountered him, he appeared traumatized. “He has absolutely no desire to serve again. This man left his family to serve us in the Ahanta West District, but see what has happened to him, he mourned.

In the meantime, the Ahanta West Police Command has began investigating the theft.
