Mother Arrested For Burning 4-Year-Old Daughter Over Missing Sandals

A nursing mother who is 29 years old and is from Oforikurom, a community located close to Samreboi in the Wassa Amenfi West Municipality, has been detained for setting fire to her daughter’s lower area in retaliation for the fact that her sandals, which were worth GH8, went missing. Azure Suleman, a member of the assembly, asserts that the lady was reportedly punishing her child for losing her sandals since the child did not return her shoes to her mother after the woman requested the child to seek for them and she did not do so.

However, the mother has refuted these allegations, stating that she intended to use the water to cure a wound that she discovered in her daughter’s private area after hearing rumors that her daughter had been the victim of an assault.
The mother has been given bail since she is a nursing mother to a baby who is one year old, according to a report that was seen on myjoyonline.

In addition, the judge issued an order that the youngster be taken to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in order to get medical care.
