Our demonstration will come on as planned- Arise Ghana

The leaders of the pressure organization Arise Ghana have stated that their planned demonstration would take place as planned on Tuesday, June 28, 2022.

Monday, June 27 on TV3’s New Day with Berla Mundi, one of the leaders, Bernard Mornah, stated this.

“Everything is proceeding as expected,” he stated.

Mr. Mornah’s remarks were made after the Police filed a lawsuit against their action in court due to a dispute over the time frame and location.

The Police noted in a statement released on Sunday, June 26 that, in the interest of Public Order and safety, they urged the organizers to reconsider the time period and begin the demonstration early in the morning and conclude it before nightfall.

However, “because to the lack of consensus between the Police and the organizers regarding the time and place of the intended picketing, the Police had no choice but to take the matter to the court for a ruling.” This was appropriately reported to Arise Ghana in a letter dated 20 June 2022.

The court case has subsequently been filed, and a hearing is planned for tomorrow, Monday, June 27, 2022.
