Shawn Poindexter is a wide receiver who is drafted by New Orleans in the 2022 USFL Draft. New Orleans Breaker announced on Twitter that he is the first WR on the team.
The USFL’s 10-game, 12-week schedule is set to begin in April, and for that teams must first set their rosters. With the 2022 USFL Draft that took place on the 22nd and 23rd of February, a brilliant team is being reformed.

Poindexter is a former Arizona Wildcat who played for the San Francisco 49ers for two seasons.
After playing for Glendale Community College in 2015, he signed with the Wildcats in his junior year in February 2016. Most recruiting services rated him as a two-star prospect.
In 2016, he appeared in 10 games but was limited by injuries for the majority of the season. He had a 13.7 yard per reception average.
After that, in 2017, Poindexter completed all of his thirteen games as a wide receiver. He was chosen as a game captain three times, including against Utah, California, and Arizona State. He caught 19 passes for 294 yards, averaging 15.5 yards per catch.
After his senior year in Arizona, he was picked as an undrafted wide receiver by the San Francisco 49ers in 2019.
Poindexter has already demonstrated great hands and a knack for fighting for the ball, however, the coach claims that he lacked speed.
He spent the most recent training camp with the 49ers before being released just before the 2020 season.
He has since developed many new skills and talents and is eager to get started with his new team at New Orleans.
