Peter Boamah Otukonor, Deputy National Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and member of the Arise Ghana group, has declared that they will pursue the Akufo-Addo administration until it resolves the country’s economic difficulties.
He stated that the government will not achieve peace unless President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo alters the manner in which he administers the nation.
We will repeatedly demonstrate until Akufo-Addo alters his position. “If he desires peace, he must alter his economic policies,” he remarked.
Speaking to the media on the second day of the Arise Ghana ‘Kurom Ay3 Hye’ demonstrations on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, he stated that the country will recover under the next NDC administration if the current administration is unable to resolve the current challenges.
He stated that the primary objective of their demonstration was to force the government to employ unemployed youths and address the country’s economic problems.
“There will be a change, and if we don’t get it under Akufo-Addo, we’ll get it under the NDC.
“We want jobs, the people are begging for jobs, and if you provide them with jobs, you will obtain peace.” If he cannot govern the nation, he should retire,” he continued.
